In this hands-on woodcarving class, you’ll have the opportunity to learn the art of woodcarving from Drini, a master craftsman with over three decades of experience. Under his expert guidance, you will discover the secrets of this traditional craft and create your own beautiful woodcarving piece — whether it’s a decorative motif, a portrait, or a personalized design of your choice. You can even choose to add a special dedication to your artwork.
This class offers a truly unique and valuable cultural experience in Lazarat, a village near the medieval city of Gjirokastër. Drini will also share fascinating insights about the intricate wood decorations found in the interiors of Gjirokastër’s historic houses. At the end of the session, you’ll be able to take your finished artwork home as a meaningful keepsake.
