Located in the serene village of Lazarat, just 3 km from Gjirokastra, this hands-on workshop offers a unique experience that combines art, history, and creativity.


What You’ll Experience

1. Hands-On Wood Carving and Icon Painting

Learn by Doing: Master the essentials of wood carving, from choosing the right type of wood to using specialized tools to create detailed designs.
Icon Creation: Paint a religious icon using traditional Byzantine techniques, starting with basic symbols suitable for beginners.
2. Insights from a Master Artisan
Artistic Expertise: Gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual and historical context of religious art as Master Drini shares his extensive knowledge of Byzantine iconography and the unique characteristics of Southern Albanian monuments.

Location: Master Drini’s workshop in Lazarat, 3 km from Gjirokastra

Important Notes
